The Brief
Hyatt Regency needed a complete wayfinding system for their 180-room hotel — exterior, interior, regulatory, and back-of-house. All bilingual (English + Swahili), accessible (ADA-compliant), and consistent with Hyatt's global brand standards while reflecting local Tanzanian character.
How We Solved It
Our design team created a custom wayfinding strategy that balanced Hyatt's global identity with Tanzanian design elements (Swahili typography, local color accents). All signs were fabricated in brushed stainless steel and frosted acrylic for a luxury feel. We worked overnight during installation to avoid guest disruption.
What We Produced
The Outcome
Guest navigation requests at the front desk dropped 78%. TripAdvisor reviews mentioning 'easy to navigate' increased 4x. The system has become a reference project for other Hyatt properties in East Africa.
